about

(a breakup song for an old band)

By S N Walsh

lyrics

There are no more words to say good-bye
There is nothing left to make me cry
Nothing left to do that’s not been done
We ran the race, had all the fun

If anyone remembers what we were
It’s only a figment and a blur
Distant memories of the past have gone
They’ve grown up and moved on

And everybody has found a life with someone else
And everybody has found a peace within themselves
And everybody just wants to know they’re not alone
And then there’s me, and I’m still trying to get home

Something triggered deep inside my heart
Always family though we’re worlds apart
I have never been more like myself
Never found a deeper wealth

But still I feel the emptiness inside
Still a giant hole a mile wide
Still I feel I’m clinging to the past
Longing for what cannot last

And everybody, they don’t want anybody else
And everybody will find a peace within themselves
And everybody just wants to know they’re not alone
And then there’s me, and I’m still trying to get home

The tree that died left seeds to plant anew
I find that I can still be me without you

So I wash my soul clean of Turpentine
I find what inspiration once was mine
I turn the earth where I buried my soul
Deep down I find that I’m still whole

And everybody might want to be somebody else
But everybody must be content with something less
And everybody just wants to know they’re not alone
And then there’s me, and I’m still trying to get home
Yeah there’s me, and I’m still looking for my home,
And then there’s me, and I’m still making my new home

about

earth immigrant California

From 1979-1999, Pluto's eccentric orbit placed it closer to the sun than Neptune. Therefore, earth immigrant (b.1980, Zigian Air Fields, Neptune) indeed comes from the farthest planet in our system. I hate to think we Neptunians are so petty, but support for planetary demotion of Pluto was very high on the blue giant, and I can’t help but think it’s because we like being far out - the farthest! ... more
